The European Union Directive 2011/65/EU restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment by July 1, 2006. Categorised as large scale industrial tools, Videojet Technologies’ marking and coding equipment, as those marketed under the Videojet, Willett, Marsh, and Cheshire brands, is not covered by the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) initiative. However, in its desire to be a responsible global citizen, Videojet intends to reduce voluntarily any RoHS substances that may be present in its products.
Videojet is committed to providing safe, high quality, and highly-reliable equipment. It is also committed to lowering any materials that do not comply with RoHS and will do so without risk to our customer promise of “uptime peace of mind.”
In summary, although the RoHS initiative is not directly applicable to Videojet coding and marking equipment, we will work to meet its requirements over time while continuing to deliver the quality and performance you expect from Videojet products.
